The last month has been busy, so I've not been able to blog as I'd like to. Three weekends ago I went to Istanbul on a long weekend trip, which was a lot of fun. I could return to Istanbul and see completely new things, so I recommend the city as a good weekend getaway for people.
I've also started on my PADI Divemaster certification course. PADI Divemaster is the first level of what PADI calls "Go Pro". With Divemaster, you are learning how to assist instructors with training, as well as all of the theory required to be an instructor. I have an entire crew pack of workbooks I have to complete. The Divemaster manual is 9 chapters, and the knowledge workbook is 5. We also have to complete practicum experience, map a dive site, write an emergency plan, demonstrate the 20 basic points of scuba at a level 3 or higher (mask clearing is 4, though), and complete 4 stamina exercises. It's been quite fun, but a lot of work too.
Classes are almost over here, and I'm ready for summer to begin. I am going away for a week in June, either to Spain or Greece. I haven't decided which yet.
